Armenian-Russian International University “Mkhitar Gosh”
July 1, 1995
A group of patriot teachers, lawyers, scientists has founded the University carrying a name of a great Armenian lawyer, the author of the Armenian Code of laws Mkhitar Gosh. The University was registered in the State Register of RA on December 13, 1996; Certificate 030557, number of registration 264.110.03182.
November 13, 1996
The licences N0 107 and 108 for educational activity with the status of high school and college were granted to the University according to the decision of Licence Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of RA No 72 on November 13, 1996.
In 1996 about 70 students of jurisprudence, economic and foreign languages departments from other Universities came to "Mkhitar Gosh" University.
May 2, 1997
In 1997 State Pedagogical University of Moscow and Institute of Social Sciences RF, were included in the structure of the University. On this basis the University got the status of a joint venture and on May 2, 1997 was reregistered in the State Register of RA (the certificate 01A030557).
September 1, 1997
Julieta Kuzina, the graduate of Moscow State University, the candidate of philological sciences, was appointed a rector of Mkhitar Gosh Armenian-Russian International University.
October 15, 1997
The University library, reading-hall, sport-hall, study-room of criminal law, computer and foreign language laboratories were solemnly opened.
October 20-23, 1997
The University Students' Council organized the First Students Scientific Conference. 8 students and 5 instructors reported there.
October-December 1997
H. Derdzian, Shaverdian and other University teachers, on gained grants were retrained at the Middle Essex College in Massachusetts, the USA.
7 September, 1998
Elite high school is established within the structure Mkhitar Gosh University. It has 213 pupils learning there up to now.
October 20, 1998
The Police (juridical) College attached to the University is solemnly opened.
September 1, 1999
Issue of an official newspaper of Mkhitar Gosh Educational Center
October 22-23, 1999
The University hosts the meeting of the Management of Non-State Universities together with the research seminar devoted to development perspectives for Non-state Universities.
October 30, 1999
The University second building is solemnly put into operation.
April 30, 2000
The branch of the Moscow State Pedagogical University is opened in Armenia on the basis of Mkhitar Gosh Armenian-Russian International University by order No 960 signed by Philipov, Minister of Education of Russian Federation
June 2000
The City Administration permits to build the third annex building of the University.
August 25, 2000
The University becomes a member of the Association of Non-State Universities of RA
July 26, 2002
The University received Licence N0 137 without time limits for implementation of higher-specialized educational work by Order of the Minister of Education and Science of RA N0 280-M.
4-6 June 2003
The charter of the Medical Institute "Amirdovlate Amasiatsy" was written and the Institute was registered in the State Register. Certificate 03A-059783
Medical Institute received State Licences N0 4-xx000003 and 000024 from the Ministry of Health of RA for implementation of higher and secondary special educational programs for the following specialties. (0404) stomatology, (0401) healing work, 0405) pharmacy, (0406) nurse work, (0406) dental technician.
14 May, 2004
The specialty of "Pedagogy and teaching methods for Primary education" received accreditation (0312) from the Ministry of Education and Science of RA.
15 May, 2004
The specialty "Customs work" received the State Licence (0619) by the 363- A/Q order of the Minister of Education and Science of RA.
19 October, 2004
The University was involved in UNESCO of UNO as Armenia member
